Trade in your old manga books for new books!
How it works:
- Go to our accepted manga list to see what titles we accept and how much we pay per book. Please note that we offer trade-in credit only – we do not send you cash!
- We are only accepting "runs" of books, starting with volume one, for trade-in. For example, we will take Naruto volumes 1-5 or Bleach volumes 1-8, but not Death Note vol 2, 3, 6 and 7 separately. If you have any questions, please email or call us before shipping anything, and we will do our best to answer them.
- Ship us your books (see below). The cheapest method to ship books to us is via the United States Post Office Media Mail method. This should cost you about $3-5 in most cases. We will give you a "shipping credit" of 50 cents per book (maximum of $5) to cover the cost of your shipment, so basically it is free for you to ship books to us!
- When we have received your books, we will email you a gift certificate (store credit) which you can use on any products on our website.
Of course there are a few rules:
- The books you send us must be in good condition. By this we mean no tears or stains on the covers or insides. Minor wear is acceptable (small creases, yellowing of pages), but books must still be is sellable condition. Look at the book, and if you would not buy it in its current condition, chances are nobody else will want it either.
- Books you are sending must be on our list of accepted titles (see accepted manga list). If you have any other titles, feel free to email us and we will contact you if we are interested.
- We are only accepting "runs" of books, starting with volume one, for trade-in. For example, we will take Naruto volume 1 to 5, but not Death Note vol 2, 3, 6 and 7 separately. If you have any questions, please email or call us and we will do our best to answer them.
Please be advised that if you send us books that do not fit the above criteria (especially condition), you will not receive any credit and you will be responsible for any and all shipping and associated costs to return your books to you.
Shipping
You want the books you are sending us to arrive at Pulp Fiction in the same condition you ship them out in. With this in mind:
- Pack the manga you are shipping securely. Use a box (or padded envelope with some kind of cardboard reinforcement). Put some kind of wrapping - bubble wrap or crumpled newspaper around the outside of your book bundle, so books do not move around and have "cushioning" inside the container.
- Use media mail - this is, by far, the cheapest method available for shipping books. You should be able to mail the books to us for $3-$5 in most cases. We will give you a "shipping credit" of 50 cents per book (maximum of $5) to help cover the cost of shipping - in most cases, it will get back your total cost of shipping books to us!
- Be advised that Media Mail is one of the slower shipping methods available and will take anywhere from 2 to 8 business days to reach us.
- You will receive an email from Pulp Fiction when we receive your package of books. You will be advised of how much earned and receive store credit in the form of a Gift Certificate for that amount. You can use your Gift Certificate to purchase any items in our store.
